i just have a Xrange2 and want to make it show up in my Radarbox software on PC, i have V6.3 installed, but i just can not make it connect.
is this even possible ?
You need to add your network details in preferences
Alan
tried that, but nothing
up to now i could connect it to radarbox24.com, but even that does not work anymore
seems like i have trowed some 300€ in the bin.
The xrange is working as it was intended to do, sending its data for viewing on Radarbox.com
At the request of users V6.00.03 was changed from 6.00.02 to allow the xrange2 to connect to the V6 software. If you cannot get it to connect to V6 there must be something stopping the connection, i.e the wrong information in the preferences tab. Nothing in V6 settings should interfere with data being sent to radarbox.com
I dont have an xrange myself or use V6.3 myself but a quick search of the xrange page on airnavradar,com gave the following instructions to connect to V6
Instructions
Before configuring the software, make sure that X-Range receiver is connected to the same network as your computer. Next, follow the instructions to configure the application:
Start up the application;
Go to "File" then click "Preferences";
Next click on the "RadarBox" tab;
In the "RadarBox New Firmware" section, please enter the local IP address of the unit;
Make sure that the "Port" is set to 32088;
Click "OK";
The application should be able to detect the XRange receiver automatically. If not, please restart the application.

I am using exactly the same instructions to display aircraft on AirNav 6.02.003, which are picked by rbfeeder, installed on Raspberry Pi.
Please see attached screenshot.
Under "Radar Box New Firmware", the IP Address 192.168.12.24 is that of Raspberry Pi running rbfeeder.
where can i find the IP adres of the device ?
i have the MAC adres
A quick google for - How do I find the ip address of a device connected to my wifi shows
On a Windows computer
Open Command Prompt: Search for "cmd" in the Windows search bar and open Command Prompt.
Type arp -a and press Enter to display a list of devices on your network, their corresponding IP addresses, and MAC addresses.

Thanks, i will try this later ; i have to reinstall my computer as i completely messed up the network
ok, finaly found the time to work on my Radabox connection,
thanks to the help so far i could connect my XRange2 with the software, BUT it only fils the list, flights are not vissible on the map, see the screenshot
is there a setting to enable this ? i had a look in preferences, but can not see what is wrong.
contacted support and got a reply back ; they no longer support this legacy software and i have to use the app/website.
thing is, i want to use my own pictures and DB as i mainly use my RB when i am spotting planes somewhere around a airfield, if i can not use my XRange with the RB software, i can throw it the recycle bin.
VERY disappointed as the info on the product suggests you can use it with the software, i just lost a lot of money on a thing that does not what it promises.
thinking of trowing my RB gear away and just use Flightradar24 from now on, much better then the RB app
noticed that when i select "ADSB only" the list goes white, so this useless piece of junk is simply not capable of receiving ADSB !
when i look on the RB app and select my station only a dozen of flights appear on screen or some 30 seconds, then just disappear and the map is empty.
disconnected this useless piece of junk now and will use my old RB receiver for as long i will be able to use it, once this one dies on me it is by by RB
To clarify Sir, there has never been adverts showing the X-Range with the RadarBox software ever. It has always been sold as standalone device, hence we do not ship the X-Range with software. As stated above by others, the X-Range is doing as it is by receiving aircraft data as s stand alone device. The FlightStick however is different and that you can connect to your RadarBox software any other compatible software (hence its not standalone), we don't even advertise the RadarBox software for this either as it is legacy but that can still be used.
You cannot use the xrange without being connected to the internet so it is of no use outside an an airport. As stated it is not standalone

Hi, the RadarBox software can retrieve data from a Raspberry Pi (using rbfeeder) without any problem — it uses port 32088. Not seeing aircraft on the map is indeed strange; I remember the same thing happened to me, but I can't recall how I solved it. Let me think about what I did and I'll come back here with the solution. Cheers.
P.S.- The xrange2 need to be connected to internet because it is a raspi with flightstick inside. If you want, you can use diretly the flightstick connected to the PC.
