I would like to edit some of the airline names in the database to my own liking, i was wondering if there is a quick way of doing this? for example i want to change USA - Airforce, to AMC or ANG, as there are so many usaf mil aircraft in the database this would take me a while to do!!

I have done mass changes, for example, US- Airforce to USAF using SQL Browser which worked OK but I am not an expert in SQL. Not sure how you would easily change a lot of individual aircraft in one go though.

Mark, if you are still interested I've have got a small program that will replace multiple texts in the database. Though of course any new aircraft that your system detects will still be added to the database as "USA - Airforce".

ok Mark, I've uploaded it to http://www.gfrost.co.uk/SquawkBox/DatabaseEditor.zip (http://www.gfrost.co.uk/SquawkBox/DatabaseEditor.zip). There's a ReadMe included in the zip. It needs the Microsoft .Net Framework to run. It's nothing special, no fancy interface, it just allows you to replace texts within a db3 database, that's all.
