Hi,
since a week or so I get the message "Message sending failed. Please check Background Software (anti-Virus/Firewall) and try again later".
I dodn't Change any Settings and nothing helps...
I use Windows 8.1 with the Windows included Virus Software and Firewall.
Any ideas,
Christian
Hi Christian,
are you using sending through airnav or sending through own mail account?
(which SW Version?)
Regards Ingo
I use my own e-mail account. Maybe ist the same problem as the alerts, that do not come via email at the moment (I have just read the other Topic with the update to Version ...72)
If sending through own E-Mail account the current problems shouldn't have any affects on your LOG sending. Have you checked the windows firewall settings? Maybe they were altered during the last update and are now blocking your mail traffic from RB. Other point might be, that your mail provider has changed something. One time mine was so kind to switch off the non ssl smtp and thas changed the smtp address on another time.
Ingo
Ok.
I checked the firewall Settings already; everything ok. I did not check the E-Mail Provider Settings.
I use gmx.de. Do you know if there were changes and where do I find solutions?
Seems, that GMX has changed from port 465 to port 587

Thank you!
I will try it out as soon as I can open the box when the .dsl Problem is fixed...
Port 465 must work too. Port 587 STARTTLS seems not working with ANRB software. If possible try another Mail provider.
Ingo
Thank you. It works now.
Just to let you know, I changed into the new Port and deactivated "SMTP requires SSL"
Christian
Glad to hear that it's working again. And thanks for the information about unticking requires ssl.
Ingo
I have had the same problem with transmission of LOGs, also started about a week ago. I am located in Canada so not same email provider as above.
Sorry, hit the button too soon above, I get same error response, e.g. problem with Fire Wall etc. Had been working fine for months, using Norton 360, no change there. Got a Windows update day after the problem started. Any ideas?
Hi,
Required information:
Are you sendong via airnav or via own mail account?
If own mail account: which provider.
Problems usually occur during a win update or after it. An occurance before the update is unknown for me.
Ingo
I use Air Nav Systems server. SMTP Port is shown as 21 and SMTP Port does not require SSL.
the error I get is Message sending failed. Please check background software (anti-virus/firewall) and try again later.
ANRB.exe is shown as a Trusted program in Firewall.
tks for answering
In this case: which ANRB version are you using? The current version is V5.00.072 ready for download here: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=8221.0
Ingo
