USB connector pushed into unit

When I tried to plug my USB into the unit today the USB receptical dropped into the box. It is now rattling around in there and I can't connect of course. Rather than send it all the way from the USA to Essex England is it easy to just open up that end with the four screws and plug the receptical back in where it should be or is there somewhere in the USA who could help. I have had the unit for one year with no problem.

Remember that the RadarBox is covered by a 2-year parts and labour guarantee, and I'm sure you would invalidate that if you open the box yourself. It might be a good idea to contact Support (http://www.airnavsystems.com/contact.html) and ask their advice.

If you open the box you do invalidate the warranty I am afraid.

I had a similar problem where the connector physically came detatched from the mother board.

The fault was my own carelessness in that with the unit just floating on the desk, it was knocked off and was broken.

I would be very surprised if AirNave would fix it under warranty. As it was negligence on my part, the way to stop it happening again, glue the box down!

It was easily fixed with a 12 watt soldering iron
