Radarbox 3.13 on Win7 64bit vrs XP 32 bit

Hi

Due to some problems running on Win 7 64bit been doing some comparison testing between my pc  with win 7 64 bit and my laptop running XP32bit.

The reported number of flights in Myflights on my laptop (XP 32bit) is consistently 40% higher than on my PC (win 7 64bit)  

For example my laptop 5 mins ago had 78 flights.  I unplug the usb lead plug into my PC and only 49 flights appear after a minutes worth of capture.  If I now plug back into my laptop after less than a minute it is back to 78 flights.

I have always sensed that my Win 7 machine was not getting the same number of flights that when it was previously on XP.


The Win 7 PC has 4GB memory with an Intel Core 6400 2.13GHz processor

The laptop has 3GB memory with an Intel Core Duo T7500 @ 2.20Ghz

What determines the number of flights that appear in the MyFlights list?
In this test the Radabox and cabling and aerial is all the same. but not the PC..

Do you have the same timeout settings on both machines?

Do you have the correct drivers installed on the Windows 7 machine?

I did once manage to install an incorrect XP driver that worked with RB, but gave poor performance.  Installed the correct driver and all was back to normal.

As far as I can recall  I  installed the 64 bit drivers as soon as they were made available.  But to reconfirm, how do i check which drivers are active?

the Airnav USB driver on my Win & 64bit installation is version 2.6.0.0 dated 22/10/2009.

The driver files are listed as follows

Windows \system32\ftdibus.sys

Windows\syswow64\ftd2xx.dll
