How to view 3D aircraft as opposed to spheres

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I have just been given the latest Airnav radarbox with additional 3D plugin for my 51st Birthday (yesterday) and was wondering how to view the aeroplanes as 3D images and not spheres.

In the Menu, Go to 3D view -> 3D view settings:

Then change Hardware Detected flights to Medium or Maximum. There also other settings on that page that you can play with it.

Thanks for that. I am sorry to be a bit slow. Incidentaly is the 3D rendering mainly handled by the Pc'c processor or the video card. If the answer id video card then I will need to upgrade it. If not a new machine may be called for. I am using an AMD Dual Core running at 2.70 Ghz with 4 GB of ram. Would you recommend a better machine?

That should be fine to handle it. Don't worry, you will have to play with the settings a bit to find the best one that gives you great visuals and performance.
