BA 85

I am looking at this flight at the moment and it seems to be all over the place,up as far as Edinburgh then turns and heads back towards south.Back into England across the border,now its turned round and heading northwards again. Flight should be EGLL-CYVR. Not sure whats happening here,maybe its my nav box.

Not able to confirm just now but it could be the one that flew over me today and is typical of BA training flights that usually fly up North across the top of Scotland and head back down South via the East coast.

I picked it up as it flew overhead here in Yorkshire about 30 mins ago. It is currently still heading north over the northern tip of Scotland.

I have checked my log and this is what I found:-

It seems that there are 2 flights BAW85 on the same day. The first is at the scheduled time and the second is several hours late. Very strange.

Just checked the BA website and this flight is operating over 5 hrs late. I wonder if the first plane turned back to Heathrow and the passengers have been transferred to another plane.

Thanks for the help, I have just found off the BAsource website,it flew a figure of eight whilst dumping fuel over the borders before returning to Heathrow. Was first flight after maintenance so maybe something still wrong with G-BNLU
