pi online but airnav says it not

not sure whats going on my pi has been dropping connection and now according to the stats page its not online when its clearly is according to my local network

If it is showing offline but you are seeing aircraft on your station page the issue is on the stats script.  When it gets fixed it will show green during the time the script was having an issue 

Have you advised support to allow them to have it fixed
