As a new user, I'm suffering many teething problems. Here are the worst of them.

Can anyone advise on why I cannot get the Google Earth plugin or any other 3D features to work on my brand new 3D box? I have Google Earth on my computer already. I can find no reference in the manual to activating this feature; the two load/reload buttons on the main screen do not work. Also, the drop down menu seems to think the 3D view is working, as it invites me to turn if off rather than switch it on.

Also, the drop down boxes have large fonts so that the OK buttons are not visible. So I can't confirm changes to any settings (including the fonts!). Any help appreciated.

Hi Doewnsview and welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having problems.

As to 3D, you need to be online before you run the RadarBox program, and it doesn't matter whether you already have the normal Google Earth installed on your computer. Your access to the 3D mode depends on AirNav flipping a switch on their server, so I suggest you cotect them direct to see if they can sort you out. Contact Customer/ Technical support via:

As to the dialogue boxes, first thing to try is to reduce your Windows font size and/or increase your screen resolution. If that doesn't work, there is a program that allows you to resize dialogue boxes. This has been mentioned a few times on the forum - try the search system to find it (the forum's search feature is normally rubbish, but sometimes it delivers the goods).

Hope that helps

Dear Rod
Thanks for your interest but I am still at the starting line. I am always online when 3D view does not work. I have tried contacting airnav about the problems, including the google earth one, but there has been no reply after nearly a week. The only search result I get from following up your suggestion about font resizing is my own email and your reply. I am reluctant to use Windows to resize all my screens just for one programme. My experience of Windows is that it is not sensitive to individual programmes but applies the same instructions to everything. So you have to constantly resize everything.

Downsview,

Do you have a ticket id number? We usually got back to customers within 12 hours, usually much quicker. Please use the form in our signature if you didn't get a ticket id number as that means we didn't get your request.

Yes, I got a ticket number 80598 in your email acknowledgment.
Incidentally, what does this phrase mean in your reply?
'Please use the form in our signature'
What form, what signature, when and how do I do this?
Now that you have my ticket number, is there anything else that I still have to do?
I suggest that you keep it all simple, at least for new users.
