poor USB light

just running the radarbox and the blue USB light seems to be poor,the signal light is ok flashing away and also getting good randge i live in bradford and getting range up to newcastle and norfolk but the blue usb light is flickering week,i am running the sbs-1 alongside radarbox and the sbs-1 is listing 60 aircraft but radarbox is listing 32 can anyone help withe the problem

Are you running the SBS-1 and RB on the same PC?

Have you swapped the RB USB lead to a different USB port?  If so, are you actually using the RB USB driver - see the video clip link below to check this:

Of course, this figure will depend on time-out settings on both boxes.

Have you checked that you are running the correct RB Driver?

OK Phil, I still refer to the driver question.

OK, I'm afraid that I don't know what your problem might be then, unless you have a problem with the USB lead.

it says that the device is working correctley

I wonder what time-out settings you are using for the SBS-1 and RB?

It may be worthwhile checking  your PSU outputs ...the USB  sockets need to provide a nominal 5VDC - and the PSU output shopuld be at all times within +/- 5% of the nominal.

A weak PSU  may be   close to the edge in tolerances...I don't know how that might affect  such a RB ..but has to be worth checking in view of the "Weak light"

You can check easily using Motherboard Monitor (Free- Google it) which will give readiouts of all voltages (12/5/3.3VDC,) CPU temp, system temp,fan speeds etc for most motherboards.

i have downloaded motherboard monitor and it reads voltage line should be 2.00volts tolerance of the voltage line 5% is this correct or should i change the voltage line to 5.00 volts

All voltages should  within +/-  5%  of the nominal - sorry that was what the nonsense in  my previous should have read.

You don't need to alter anything - just open the "Dashboard" and you'll see readouts for all voltages- just see what they say.
