ge-plugin

hi,
when i change from map view to 3D view i only get a black screen with bottom line that tells me to reload the ge-plugin, but when i click on it nothing happens. ff tells me in "add-ons" that there is the ge-plugin, but when i go to the taskmanager and look into processes there is no ge-plugin (as there should be like it is the case with my laptop where 3d view is running as it should), only a "firefox.exe".
can anyone help me, because i am very frustrated because the laptop screen is so small and the desktop screen is a 24'' screen and i'd like to have the 3d view working on the big screen.

defcon333--has the 3D ever worked on your system yet? Or does it just disappear after switching from 2D back to 3D?

no it has never worked so far. it just disappears when switching from 2D to 3D.
