What Map Projection do you prefer

Just wondered what map projection people prefer, and why.   What are the different pros and cons of each projection, particularly for tracking aircraft movements.

(Yes, I'm bored.  Not many aircraft flying in Scottish airspace).

Hi Tarbat,

Since a couple of weeks i'm using the spherical projection instead of the mercator projection because the spherical projection gives me a larger view compared to the  mercator projection using the same zoom-factor.

I use Spherical, because the Aircraft Route From/To lines are straight rather than great circle.
