Mode S code AD2489

Hi, my ANRB detected the Mode S code AD2489 everyday, but it shown no information except Mode S code and altitude (28600 feet). does anybody know what aircraft it is?

I dont think so, the code gives a registration of N946MD which according to the FAA site has not been assigned.

Sorry Runway 31, but this doesn't appear to be correct,
According to various other sources, N946MD, an MD83, was transferred to Spirit of Manilla Airlines in the Phiippines last year and became RP-C7703, although on delivery, it was still carrying the US reg. (piccy at jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6813907) 
It is also recorded in MacDac's production list as:-
49946    DC-9-83/MD-83  1898    EI-CCC     N946MD     RP-C7703
Can't find any record of who actually owned it when it was N946MD though.

I dont think so, the code gives a registration of N946MD which according to the FAA site has not been assigned.

Depending on where the OP is located, it could well be GECAS MD83 RP-C7703 using its former code.

It is still misscoded then as the FAA dont consider it to be registered as N946MD.

Although we have possibly identified the actual aircraft.

On this occasion it will not worjk as the aircraft is no longer registered N946MD
