Squawking 7700 ,,,,,,,,, EGLL - KLAX flight....... looks like its heading back to EGLL....... hope they get down ok!!!

According to Aviation Herald, the aircraft had a fuel systems problem and turned back to LHR after dumping fuel in the Irish Sea. Landed safely about 2 hours after first declaring emergency.

Hopefully the fuel won't end up 'in the Irish Sea'. The idea is that you dump above 10,000 ft and the fuel vaporises before it gets down to sea level.

Quite correct, Allocator. Should have read 'over the Irish Sea'.
