Thanks for clarifying that Tonka Tom or Tonka Alex (I'm totally confused now!) - I hadn't realised that USB settings were accessible in the BIOS - will have to have a play to see if I can find them.

FYI CGJ

  I have regularly used manual updates rather than automatic updates. 

If was after an unscheduled automatic update that this problem occurred. 

I have a spare HD and was going to put a base Win 7 64bit with no updates on and test with RDB sw.  Hoping this would stop my BSoD after running RDB sw for 36 hours. 

However with 7 month old twins have never had the time to it. :-)

Hi Graham, with 7 month old twins I'm surprised you've got time to do anything, let alone play with RB and computers - Respect!   I've had 2 kiddies with 2 different wives and 5 years in between, one was more than enough to keep me occupied.   By the time my second daughter could toddle (about 18m - 2yrs), she could connect my CB radios and comms. receiver, when I got them out and put them on the coffee table!

With the reinstall something positive has happened for me.  My machine has been running for much longer than 36 hours without a BSoD (5 days non stop so far) due to no memory resources available.  Attached is a screen shoot of my resource monitor.  It shows the commit charge at 90-95% but has not got any higher.  Before this would reach 100% and soon my system would crash.  Note that AirNav takes up by far the most memory resources.

spoke too soon  memory resources reached 100% soon afterwards.  dialog pop warning saying close radarbox sw.  reset system and of running again
