Can I please go back to 1.5 and retry? At least that was working well.
Alert alarm works ok though.

Hi all from a cold Sydney

Downloaded v2.0 to my PC (XP)

quick switch of RadarBox from my Laptop to check it out.

Thank you for adding Flight No.,routing, and Local Time to Reporter but a few problems:

Not reporting correct flight details e.g.:

VH-OJO operated QF127 Syd-Hkg
reporter shows QF1 which is SYD-BKK-LHR
route shownon reported is FAJS-YSSY.

Checked a few domestic flights same problem.

MyLog shows correct flight info.

Also tried ACARS which works fine except does not pick up Aircraft type.
(Don't normally worry about this feature)

My database and Mylog were intact from the last time I used the PC as I always run RadarBox on my Laptop.

Things are now getting stranger, did a full uninstall, deleted all files and then a full install of 2009 yesterday and MyLog seemed to be populating and thought all was well. This morning no data in MyLog, it was there there yesterday - I checked after the reinstall that flights were populating.

I'm using Vista - is this a common thread with all those with problems?

I've also disabled the local time option to see if this has any effect

If it helps, I'm on Vista and have had no such problems at all throughout the beta testing.  Although I don't install in the default location.  To avoid Virtual Store confusion, I install in:
P:\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2009.

I wonder if there's some problem associated with the Virtual Store.  Remember that anything ANRB tries to update in the installation directory will probably get placed in Vista's Virtual Store:
C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2009.

That may not be the cause of these problems, but might be worth investigating.

Now I've had the chance to have a play, I have to say that the interface (for me) is just as slow and clunky as it's always been.  Menus are sluggish, windows take ages to open.

Also, when I open the MyFlights window, most of the window is blank.  There are the beginnings of lines down the left hand side of the window, which looks like the beginning of the "Bearing" column, but nothing else - the MyFlights total is currently 91, but I can't see 'em!  If I click on where the line should be, there is a summary of the aircraft details  in the bottom pane.

Go around, I say again go around...

DC,

What columns have you got selected to show in Preferences?

If I untick everything except Brg - I get exactly the same as you :-)

Dave, what happens if you click the "Show All" button in the MyLog interface?

What happens if you click Filter, then click Show All?  Even if the flights wern't showing as "Today", then the Show all should bring them up.

AirNav Support

Just an update from us as some customers have asked how Version 2 has been received:

- 60%+ of customers using the network are now using Version 2
- Getting great feedback on the new features and fixes
- No major bugs have been found so far
- A few customers have had issues with the upgrade regarding coruppted data files (in that case install a fresh version 2 and delete the 2009 folder prior to installing)

Keep passing your feedback.

GM21

I am new to the Radarbox and was just getting my head around 1.5. I have upgraded to V2 and had a few problems but am fully back up and working after a full re-install. I have got to say i am amazed by the product and the support provided by the developers. I must also say it is so refreshing to come to an online forum that is so supportive and helpful - keep up the good work everyone. I am really looking forward to learning the ins and outs of this great product.

BobR

All sorted now. Thanks for all the pointers folks.

Welcome, GM21 - glad you're coping! We're all on a steep learning curve at the moment.

As you say Dev and Support are doing a great job - now is the time to come up with suggestions, and Development are saying that 2.1 is only a few weeks away, and they want even more ideas!

Rod :-)

Hi

Just intalled RB2009 using the upgrade link and initially had the my flights grid showing and populated but the map itself was completely blank. Re-booted and have now got the my flights list and aircraft appearing on the map but not a single one of the aircraft on there are showing any route information at all.

Am also waiting an ecxessive amount of time for the application to load but reading this thread that seems o imply that AVG might me an issue with this. The remedy for this is to enter an exception of RB2009 but to be honest I don't know what you mean or how to do this.

Incidentally I don't have a RadarBox2009 directory structure either after the download.

Clearly I have done something wrong - can anyone enlighten me ?

Thanks

Wayne

Wayne,

Uninstall and Install the full RadarBox 2009 not the upgrade.

Then go to AVG -> Tools -> Settings -> Exceptions -> Add path and enter the path to the AirNav Systems directory which should be in My computer, C Drive, Program Files, AirNav Systems.

Then run RadarBox 2009.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

Would that be to uninstall the RadarBox2008 directory (as I don't have a 2009 one) and then do the full install ?
