For me, 3D is a bit gimmicky and of no use whatsoever.  However if it's there, then the option should be available to use it (or not) as required.  As regards paying extra for it, no thanks - I would consider that part of natural development as is the case with most of the GPS systems out there.  I believe TomTom boasts a 3D display, but it's not something I'd use.  But I can see the difficulty (in terms of revenue) if the improvements are purely software based .

The 3D looks good & I wouldn't be adverse to paying a small fee to upgrade, however I would like the opportunity to try it before I buy it & would suggest Airnav release a time limited trial,when it is ready for release.

Being a new users I am glad I will not have to replace my radar box every 6 months, it cost me a lot of money and I don't want the box to be obsolete overnight.

I think the 3D should have a small fee for upgrading, but I would like to see the upgrade with the option to switch between 2D & 3D.

Each user then has the choice of which one he would like to use.

Absolutely, because otherwise it won't be any use if you don't have network connectivity available.

Pay is an option as a way to help another development. It is true that it can be for or against. Usually we see a lot of people grumble at the gates of developers when they sortnt a logicie and after that, it takes months or even years without the latter do not change their software.
So I'm for making the effort to contribute financially, and so I say I bring my stone to the edifice.

Congratulations to the team Airnav .... And I eagerly await version Radarbox 3D software.
This is only my opinion to say that I am among those who are ready to pay.

That's rather expensive from my point of view, I was anticipating somewhere rather less than half that price. I know it's a one off cost, but with the desire to subscribe to the real-time network it will be a stretch to do both.

Agree with  Fenris, less than half that price seems somewhere acceptable. But at nearly a hundred pounds & over hundred euros for gimmicky 3D only with NO new features? No way, a pure killer price! Thats old wine in new skins...

Time to say "Goodbye" to 3D for me.

Forward orders can be taken by phone only ....

As the data is available out of RB, then if imported to OziExplorer, it may be possible to see an aircraft plot.

Incidentally I got a free upgrade to OziEx adding GE a few months ago.

Port 7879/30003 output from Radarbox is 5 minute delayed though.
