Any chance they could choose to fly VFR into Heathrow?  Probably a mad idea I guess.  But others seemed to have been able to fly VFR into Luton.  Six BA flights now on the network heading for EGLL.

Those Luton flights were non-revenue positioning flights.  There's no way an airliner with pax on board would be allowed in the Heathrow zone at present.

So, reported on the news that BA expect to land their aircraft at a London airport.  First one to watch is probably BAW124, just about to cross the channel.

I was just about to suggest that Willie will be landing his planes at Heathrow. BBC News have just suggested that BA are seeking permission from NATS to land in "London". I think that will be both Gatwick and Heathrow.

I've got 174 since 0730 but it's a right mixed bag that seems to have accumulated without me noticing.

Just had an EasyJet (G-EZIJ) fly over at 12,000 heading north of EGBE Coventry increasing to 18,000. Possibly out of Stanstead or Luton???

I see BAW102 (G-BNWC) & 17V (G-YMMS)  As typing 17V just turn south over IOM approaching IOM heading for Heathrow (not north to any of the open airports!  As typing 17V turning over IOM possible north (although he turned south first!)

Watching that Dave - big course change for 17V - this looks interesting.
