I would have thought that should be UAE 1212 Lockheed C-130H30 c/n 4985 DBR Kabul Afghanistan 4/8/08 opb UAE Air Force (Abu Dhabi). Rebuilt or reuse of code and I had previously tied up and lost?

Your colleague Paul has given a reg tie up in the mode-s forum for 780036 as RDPL-34169, Xian MA-60 c/n 0403, Lao Airlines.  Really colourful paint job as can be seen on Airliners http://www.airliners.net/photo/Lao-Airlines/Xian-MA-60/1999507/L/&sid=b5ce63fd0bac9fef0c753751e99aebd5

Thanks for 89602A, and just as I thought, it was a reuse I had previously tied up but had lost when changed over to new db. Should have looked up the log back up files first!

The MA-60 from yesterday was described as being in red c/s and therefore possibly a different machine as this hex appears to be a Chinese test reg hex . It landed from desert direction and I could not get a glimpse but will confirm as soon as I see.

I would expect you are correct as it is using a Chinese hex
