Northern Australia

from the list published previously, there only appears to be one station (at Darwin) for the whole North of Australia.

Most traffic to Europe or Asia would travel over North Western Australia, so Darwin wouldn't see it (if Darwin is up and running?)

There have been a few customs issues with a few sites that are taking time. Other sites have been looking to get external antennas to improve there reception which have caused a delay.

Its slowly getting there in some locations :)

I've done a quick update of the stations map with stations seen over the last couple of weeks.

Thanks, Dev.

Re Northern Australia, I've seen two individual returns from Darwin, including a Qantas B748 on the ramp, and I've seen an RV10 on the ground at Alice Springs, which is also on the list.

And I once saw a return from the Maldives.

We live in hope.

EDIT - watching a Neos 738 at Sal, Cabo Verde at the moment - that's the second aircraft I've seen there.

Singapore has been seen a few times, they have been testing the fix Dev made but at the moment he is looking for a new antenna to provide a better reception.

Any possibility of AirNav setting up one of its 50 free radarbox units in New York.
With all the internet sites that are offering airport coverage, i still don't see any offering good JFK/EWR coverage.

I am trying to home brew an external antenna and stick it out of my window to improve my reception.

Currently, using the small antenna that came with the Radarbox.

Four more units were sent this week to further expand our coverage.
Two more in remote Russia to further extend our coverage on Europe-Asia flights and one for Thailand and another for South Africa.

The free units to extend our coverage campaign continues and we will soon announce a further expansion of this project.

Hi Dev, as a matter of interest, how many RBs have you sent out in this fantastic campaign.  I'm finding I'm having a total of over 2,000 on a regular basis, whereas 18 months ago, topping 1,000 was on a really good day!   Well done, keep them coming.    Any chance of an approximate world map showing the extra boxes?   I appreciate that you wouldn't want to publish anything too accurate or detailed, for obvious reasons of security.

Any chance of donating an External Antenna with 10 m cable to me to improve my reception ?

Currently, using the supplied tiny antenna INSIDE my window and there are blind spots due to the metal window grills and other metal parts of my windows.
