Easy DIY Pigtail Antenna for Indoor Use

(1) Cut in two equal halves, a 25 cm long RG316 pigtail with right-angle sma-male connector at both ends. This made two pieces, each 12.5 cm long. Each piece can be used to make one pigtail antenna.

(2) In one piece, removed jacket+braid from top 70 mm. Removed jacket from another 5mm to expose braid,  to attach radials to exposed braid.

(3) Wrapped steel binding wire to braid where braid ended. Cut steel wire to make each radial 75mm.  Bent radials 45 degrees downwards.

(4) Finally used Vector Analyzer to tune it. Had to trim 70mm top portion in steps of 1 mm, till got perfect tuning (lowest SWR) at 66 mm length of top portion.

NOTE:
If you do not have a VNA, does not matter. It is not essential to tune it precicely by a VNA. Just use the 66mm radiator and 75mm radial lengths which I arrived at, and your pigtail antenna will be nearly perfect.
