Hi ,

I think it would be interesting to follow Mister Obama on his Europe tour (Berlin on Thursday, Paris und London). Maybe someone knows the registration of his plane ?

I found out that his official campaign plane in the States has registration N755NA.
If he uses the same plane in Europe (why shouldn't he ?) he would be easy to track.

Why flew NA01 with a transponder offset?

The airplane with Barack Obama (N755NA) landed in Berlin-Tegel/EDDT (source: Airnav live) about 500 metres northwest of the runway on one day while it departed from southeast of the EDDT runway the other day.
It landed in Heathrow (EGGL) with the same offset the next evening.
All other airplanes landed and departed directly on the runways and not aside.

Hi Berlin

Quite a lot of aircraft have their GPS reporting offset.

I regularly watch G-CELJ landing at EGNH about 500m short of the runway, and about 200m to the left. Doesn't seem to do it any harm, though. I also see aircraft at EGCC taxying through the woods to the south of runway 2.

I presume that it's just a setup error - when aircraft start using ADS-B for collision avoidance, it's going to be quite a problem!

PS the font I use for the map is Verdana Ref - Verdana fonts are designed for screen legibility - things like Times and Arial are designed for printing, and MS Sans and Courier are designed for programmers (and keeping columns lined up).

Screen Legibilty, very much so!
Appears so much clearer compared to the default font.
