Photo storage help

My air nav now has downloaded over 12,000 photos and I am worried this is going to slow down my pc in the long run. Is there any way of diverting the downloads straight to a memory stick? and if so, how do I transfer all the existing ones to it as well. I am running on Vista.

I can't see why it would slow down your PC.  If you're worried, you could do what I've done and install the whole of Radarbox onto a different drive - mine's installed at P:\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2008

Thanks. Sometimes, the screen seems to freeze and I have to re-start the RB. It is a new laptop with adequate memory so I thought it may be the photos that may be contributing to it? It is installed in a separate drive.

Are you using the latest version (1.5)?

Photos should have no affect on stability.

OK...to find out which version you are using when the program is running go to the Menu at the top of the screen, click Help then go down the menu and click About.

In the Welcome box that opens you will see something similar to;

"Software Version: ANRB 15"

That and the lines below will tell you which version you are using.

On mine for example it reads;

Software Version: ANRB15
Software Version Date: 2008/03/19 03:55
Firmware Version: 1.01.2

In the example above it indicates "AirNav RadarBox v1.5 which is currently the latest version.

Alternatively when you run the program the Welcome box should state;

"AirNav RadarBox 2008"

Hi, thanks for your help so far. I am running version 1.3. I was emailed the updated download of version 1.4 but Im not sure where to save it on my pc? I was going to save it in the Air Nav Folder but it asks me if I want to replace existing folder? Is this right? do I need to do this, or can I skip and download v1.5 instead? and where do I save this file on my pc?

Go for V1.5 also known as RadarBox 2008 available for the main airnavsystems.com website in the RadarBox section.

You don't have to save it anywhere, as all this is done by the installation file.  I creates a completely new and separate installation of RadarBox, so you will still have your old version if you want to go back or copy files across.
