For some reason the database editor will not accept callsigns when I insert them in capitals, I will accept it when I input the 3 letter callsign in small letters. Why is this? Will it work if the callsigns are not in capitals?

You should add them in capitals. If its not allowing it means that Flight ID is already in the database.
