COMMUTER AIRCRAFT AND ADSB:

Good news:

Was in Palma for 10 days a couple of weeks ago and picked up Air Nostrum, the Iberia commuter franchise, using full ADSB transmissions (ie position etc and hence on the map) on a CRJ2 and an ATR72. NB - only one of each, rest of the fleet still Mode-S only. These are the first examples of these two types I have logged using ADSB.

Perhaps they are trialling it on these smaller a/c? Anyway, lets hope this is just the start of the spread of full ADSB to these aircraft types.
