Is the place still open?

I spent a happy (but somewhat strange) 3 months there in 1981.  I didn't know that there were that many F104's in the whole world!

There was an excellent aircrew feeder called Enrico's that was good for lunch.  We were living down town in Cagliari living off pizza, wine and beer - oh, those were the days :-)

For some reason I didn't take my camera with me which was a great shame.

it is still open permanetly for german and italian planes , plus frequent nato countries, included israel a few months ago. the british have left permanently due to budget restrictions so has the us, but the latter are more ore less always present.
the playground is always active except in august and the cubic corporation range is open, and mirto radar, frasca range too

Anyone know anything about the two Aircraft using MAD callsigns - Mad 91 and Mad92   Mode-s ID's  AE22A1  and AE22A4  - they have been on my box in the borders for quite a time now    Squawk's being used are 1761 and 1762.

Hi All, just started looking military aircraft. Is it possible to find out what aircraft they are. Two just been showing AE2803, ID: HITMN21 & 43C154, ID: TRIBL1
Had a look on Airframes but not sure how to use the site and came up with nothing. would appreciate any help.

Just got my AirNav box yesterday and today Ive just had the radar rama (I think thats what its called) put up on a6 foot pole on top of my house, Im getting distances of over 200 miles. Ive already picked up a spitfire, French mirage, Hawks and loads of helicopters.
Very impressed so far.

Just eyeballed 2 x F-15 tracking west down the TACAN route over Derby.

Possibly AE070A and AE070B at about FL220

Hi all, Two RAF Grob G-115E Tutor T1s on the box now 400ED8 G-BYUU and 400EEC G-BYVO. I believe they are based at RAF Aldergrove presently.

I took my radarbox to  raf conningsby the other week and only got a spitfire on mode s ....none of the ten pair of typhoons were transmitting ...very disappointing
