Easily answered with the help of the CAA's G-INFO.

G-JENC was cancelled to military marks on 27/05/2009.  The other three Shadow R1s, G-NICY, G-JIMG and G-OTCS (to become ZZ417, ZZ418 and ZZ419 respectively) are still on the civil register.

As a foot note 43C2B3 was picked up by my box and was reported on another forum as operating out of Hawarden late last week on two occasions so (as yet unconfirmed to a serial but maybe ZZ417) Watch this space.

This one has got the tower controllers at Lossie and Kinloss excited, doing low level circuits.  Comments like "looking forward to it!!", etc.

ZJ518 did some circuits here in edinburgh on Friday before routing down to Teeside. The controllers comment at Edinburgh was that this was the quietest sounding Nimrod he had ever heard!

Quite so.

The Spey wasn't renowned for being a quiet engine - two/three were bad enough on the 1-11/Trident, but 4 were/are even worse ...
