Train of heavies departing KIAD for Europe

This is pretty typical of most evenings with all the big jets heading out for morning arrivals.  If I hear it rumbling overhead it's almost always tracking on the RB.

And I get views like these.

Those photos were taken last year with a Nikon D40 with a 200mm lens.  A few months ago I bought a 300mm lens.

The planes range from 5-8k when they pass me.

Nice pictures, have been to KIAD a few times myself, nice place.

Have the 450D myself, but live too far away for those type of shots.

Here's a train going in the opposite direction. Routing over Liverpool Bay towards BESOP for their oceanic entry point. Spot the odd one out though ;)
