I wonder if someone can assist?

I have been unable to start up the ANRB software version 2009 as after entering my username and password and successfully clicking"start" I cannot get further as the windows  "Preferences dialogue box" is partially minimized and I can enter all the requisite data due to restricted fields cannot therefore complete entry return!

The package runs in demo mode from which I can exit normally. The only option when I have the software running but essentially inactive,  is to exit  via CTRL/ALT/DELETE and end the prog.

The hardware is running OK and actually registers "my flights" on the screen.

This is on a fairly new ACER Aspire (7003wsmi) P4 Laptop running XP SP3.

I have successfully run the whole package on an HP Mini Note laptop which is running XP.

I have checked all drivers and have even gone as far as re-installing the Acer.

Several hours spent but have run out of ideas.

Thanks

Hi Rogneil and welcome to the forum.

I suggest you try increasing your screen resolution - RB should run OK at 1024x768, so make sure your screen settings are at least that - perferably more to start with.

You could also try reducing the size of screen fonts.

Do come back if this doesn't work or you need more advice.

You are a true "Hero"!

Thanks for the advice.

I had the resolution running at 1440 X 900 and font as "normal size" so had not consisdered that to be the issue having never had the problem with numerous Ham Radio related programmes which I have used.

I have adjusted the DPi and managed to get the data entered and up and running.

I am delighted to have this running on my "shack" PC!

Excellent site.
