Have you actually seen this c/s as SPONGE BOB? It's showing on PlanePlotter as SPONGE B. This ac is an HC-130N of the 210th RQS (rescue squadron) of the 176th Wing of the Alaskan Air National Guard which have been known to use the SPONGE c/s with a numerical or alpha suffix.

Hi All,

My questions refers to SAA049 as per the link below.

Sometimes I get a plot like this where the aircraft icon on the map is pointing in a totally diffrerent direction to the track. And, on the My Flights window the flight is listed as N/A. There is no problem with reception as the aircraft is well inside my PD area of reception.

I have followed this flight all the way down to landing and it never seems to correct itself. The outgoing flight this morning did not do this.

Just interesetd why this happens sometimes.

Hi Bell407 - it's just the aircraft sending bad wrong data - Radarbox is just showing what the plane's transmitting.

And?... That's a standard callsign for tankers flying 'Coronet' mission i.e. ferring fighters and such across the oceans.

Is sending "FOR7ATE" as Flight ID (i.e. COA478)
