GAF218 today was definitely a Challenger, not an A310, visually confirmed at Glasgow.

American Airlines actually.  It's one of their new ones.  AA and Continental have been getting lots of new planes this year it seems.  FAA DB shows them owned by Boeing, but a quick search for a photo usually shows who's actually flying them.

John - Thomas Cook's callsign is Ketsrel, and we do occasionally get their aircraft using variations of that word. I'm not sure that it is consistent, though.

"Kestrel12" would be too long to fit in the Flight ID field, hence "Kestel".  But in any case, the Flight ID should include the ICAO prefix and not the radio callsign.
