Some very strange routings coming up against flight ID's for these aircraft, including internal USA routings flying overhead Scotland. Looks like since the amalgamation of the 2 airlines that there have been major changes with flight numbers and routings. Time for an urgent update of the routings database. Already this morning had DAL198 from Atlanta to LAX fly overhead Glasgow !

NWA241 this morning going the scenic route from Detroit to Denver via overhead Edinburgh !

NWA243 from Fort Lauderdale to Detroit via overhead Glasgow. Hope passengers heading to Detroit like going the long way round !

Tracked NWA233 this morning over North Scotland showing KDCA - KDTW.  Also note that same aircraft has been showing KFLL - KDTW on both flights this aircraft flew on 02 Dec and 07 Nov so this has been going on for sometime.

Looks like there has been a renumbering exercise and you will need to update your route database.  Typing the above flights into flightaware gives the following.

We have just deleted all NWA/DAL entries from our central flight number database. It will now rebuild itself with new flight number data.

Thanks for that. Was just about to report a Delta/Northwest flight overhead Glasgow this morning showing domestic USA route details !
As a matter of interest, how long will it take for the central database to rebuild with the correct information?
