IRELAND ON LINE WITH RADAR BOX

Hi,

I was in Germany (Friedrichshafen) at the weekend and purchased my new Radar Box.

I am located about 10 N.M from Dublin Airport (EIDW) and have the unit in SHARE mode.

Hi All,

First post on this obviously new forum to support the RadarBox.

Really keen on a "Virtual Radar"to support my Airband Listening and to appreciate better the workings of ATC as I have a PPL.

I was seriously considering a SBS-1, but will now wait to hear initial reports on the RB, since i certainly like what i see. ;-)

Great ! I take it you are near Navan ? My nearest town is Dunshaughlin. If you need any info or help re this kit, just drop me a line and I would be glad to help.

will do, i also have a sbs box so it will be interesting to compare the two. from what i've seen of the radar box screen shots it looks like a good product. been that close to EIDW you should pick up a/c low down or nearly on the ground. let me know what you think of the radar box so far , what kind of setup have you i.e. antenna position and the like.

At present I am using the supplied internal antenna but with very good results. I have ordered an external antenna which I hoep to have up in a few weeks.
very impressed with the radar box so far.

Is there anyway you could attach an image of what results you are getting,so i can see what kind of info you are picking up and have you started using the my log function?
I am thinking of getting one but will not be able to put an external aerial up,so want to see what the supplied aerial will do before i commit any of my hard earned money

Hi. Why not sharing some of our first irish screen shots on this forum? We are happy to see you daily on the network but maybe other interested users would be interested in seeing it too.

Try to use the file menu, screen shot feature to generate the shots easily.
