Major disruption over UK due to volcanic ash

A volcanic eruption in Iceland is today causing major disruption to flights over Northern Europe with many airports in the UK being closed and hundreds of flights cancelled.

As you can see on the attached screenshot, there is nothing in the air north of me here in the north of England.

It now looks like UK airspace is being cleared of aircraft.
