BBC news says that airlines are looking for a way out and want restrictions re-considered and relaxed. They're testing the envelope all over Europe from the sound of it and collecting data. Must be all working together.

Cruising at FL30 over southern Ireland at present is BAW9156 Boeing 747 test flight (G-CIVC) will be interesting to see the rest of its route!
