Scotland would probably be more use to the passengers who presumably want to go to Gatwick. At least they can get a train or coach laid on.

Maybe not but what is the alternative, bet there are lots of people who wish they were getting back. There are a number of flights diverting into Glasgow and Prestwick around 6 at the last count during the late morning and early afternoon. Its goos to see something on the scren again.

Too right. I have a long list of airports round the world I would NOT want to be sitting in for an indefinite period. :(

Anyone getting much local stuff? I've had 4 light planes pottering abut thus far.

Nothing rxd on Mode S, but single Squirrel helicopter using callsign "Osprey 57" has been operating in the Island of Hoy area of Orkney this morning - probably transferring smolts between fish cages.

Heard flight TOM 093 working Shanwick Oceanic on HF being told only airports open are Glasgow, Prestwick and Belfast.

Didn't get longitude but lat was 60N - also given VHF freq of 132.73MHz to contact Scottish Control, presumably at Oceanic boundary which I think is 10 W (?).

Just curious but how do you listen to HF as we are interested as we can only do VHF at the moment. Do you mind saying what type of scanner and frequencies you use?

you need a hf reciever cover say 0.400 to 30 mhz or there on line i think
