Hi Gang

In the last week I replaced the standard RB antenna on the gutter with a 1090 Mhz antenna from Jim Finch in Southampton, fed by 12m of Westflex 103. This has gained 4m in height and has been considerably cheaper than flattening the hill behind the house. The new antenna is probably no more sensitive than the as supplied antenna but it does allow me to get clear of all the major obstacles close to the house. The net result is that I can now get vastly improved coverage to the east.

regards
Gerry

Hi Gerry,

Thanks for those screenshots, pretty impressive results to say the least, you almoust have the whole country covered. I guess its time to put in an order with Jim Finch.

Thanks again,

Hi Gerry,

Thanks for the screenshots \ Polar diagram, I'm looking forward to seeing traffic over the Atlantic. You're almost hitting out to 15 degrees West by Limri & Malot.

Best regards

Great "shots" Gerry,

any chance to have another one including "range rings", that would make it even more meaningful.

Regards from the continent,

Karl

What a "sighting" Gerry, and a "360°" even !!!

Enjoyed very much. Always interesting for me to see what is "happening behind the horizon". I live in the near vicinity of Cologne - Bonn's airport (EDDK) , and I'm able to "see" all of the "NATs" out of Frankfurt (EDDF) passing me at about FL250, but almost disappeare even before reaching the "english channel" while leaving the continent overhead the netherlands.

Thanks, and will appreciate any further shots of this kind.

Karl
