Lost all my 3D models

Just fired up ANRB 4.03 in 3D mode for the first time in a while and all my 3D models have disappeared! Everything works as it should except that all flight-tracks terminate abruptly with nothing at the end of them!
Any suggestions as to how I get them back, please? 3D of less use if I can only see trails without the planes!
I let Windows (Vista) do an auto-update on Friday night - wonder if it's related to that?

Restart the software and check whether they appear. If not try a reinstall of RadarBox.

Software restarted with same problem.
Just about to make backups and then full reinstall - need to find my original disk (and more importantly password) before I go down that scary route!
Will report back once I've bitten the bullet!

Same problem here, no 3d models.
I don't plan on trying a full reinstall unless it definetly fixes the problem.
Anyone else out there with similar ?

I take it you have performance set to maximum and have ticked the box to "Use 3D models if available" under the preferences tab?.

Hi Alan,
I just tried it 4 different times and on the fourth time all the models were back.
The other times only at least a third of the models were showing,
maybe its a network-related problem, thank god I dont use it much !
All the setting I use are as you said.

Really didn't fancy doing a full reinstall - but useful opportunity to make a full backup all the same!
Have made absolutely NO changes to my ANRB setup whatsover since my original post. Rebooted several times during the day - all with no models showing.
Then now (1935 Sun) tried one more time and 3D models are back!
Interesting! - does this indicate a network-related problem (as Squad 701 intimated)?

If it was you would think that it would affect others and probably all at the same time.

Quite agree Alan - I've used 3D almost since the day it was launched - with no previous problems - and quite often when offline - so think the network problem theory is a 'red herring'!
Bizarre, though, that it hasn't worked all day and now suddenly does work (having made no alteration to hardware or software settings - and that Squad 701 had a similar situation!
The important thing is my 3D models are now back - even if a disappointing amount are grey 'liveryless' fuselages... Hey, ho better than a flight trail being created by nothingness!

I think this type of problem has come up before, so might be worth a search. I think the cause was down to performance problems, but can't remember for sure. Check you're not hitting 100% CPU usage.

Ha - Tarbat - I think you may have 'hit the nail on the head' there with that suggestion!
I have just returned from holiday in Lake Como and blasted my poor laptop with 600+ photo images at far too higher resolution than was strictly necessary!
Laptop harddrive is now almost full and all software running rather slowly. I have a 1Tb backup drive that I've not used yet - methinks now is the time to backup to it and start afresh with what I really need on my laptop!
