Local Time

I'm a new user based in SoCal. I want to display times as local times (i.e. +8 Hours GMT), but if I check the display local times box in Preferences, nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi DaveC

This is a bug and AirNav have made note of it for the upcoming patch.
