Hi Paul

Sorry, I am like a child with a new toy. I thought the novelty would have worn off by now but NO!
I am still impressed.
You won't be disappointed with the set up. Where about are you located? I am just outside Rochdale North West England, climbing up the hill towards Burnley, not to far from Pole Hill (7miles).
I am still staggered at the amount of aircraft I can see and the distances.
I have been late for work twice this week just following aircraft across the country.
Let us know when you have it set up.

Hi Paul
Sorry for not responding to your last post. I have been away (work)  but now I am back to play with toys.
Once a year I have to go to Newcastle in January I stay at the Premier Lodge at the airport of course. Next Jan I will take the Radar box and lap top.
You won't be dissapointed with the antenna kit from Wimo it works and works well.
The quality is also top grade. I have two other aerials from Wimo the 2meter & 70cm quagis for ham satellite work, these are also top grade.

I just ordered my kit. Although I used the AirNav website to order it thinking they would use a UK distributer. It would appear My box will be coming from the states. Never mind.

I'm 4 miles East of Heathrow and can both see, hear and from time to time smell the aircraft.

Looking at these screen shots I'm I just can't wait.

Jim,

I ordered via the AirNav website too.  I think that you might find that the box will be coming from Portugal.  I got a FEDEX(?) tracking number and watched it get closer and closer :-)

Delivery only took 2 days.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I think it might be coming from the US only because they have charged me US Parcel post so I don't know.

Having read forums and seen the screen grabs I'm just behaving like a kid in a candy store. Only all the jars are too high for me to reach.

I'm sure it will be here as soon as it can be.

Again thanks for the rapid reply.

Ok so it arrived today. I'm sat in the bedroom at the moment with the aerial just on the window at the front of the house.

I've attached I hope a Screen shot with my current Polar Diagram.

So already thinking I should get the extra twig and stick it on the Chimney stack so I can see behind me. Still get a very good look at Heathrow.
