Hi Rod, I really need your help and advice.
Can you offer any explanation as to why N917FE will not display a logo.  It is driving me nuts.
It shows up as "Morningstar Air Express"  I know I have asked before, but I see no logical reason as to why it will not display.  It is in my logo folger, I have tried renaming it 100 times with a known good logo as a test.  It will just not display....

Hi Jason - hope you're keeping warm!

According to the FAA, C208B N917FE was registered to FedEx, but was deregistered as sold to Canada on the 29th October last year, and is reserved by FedEx for a future plane.

The RadarBox database has it as operated by Mountain Air Cargo/FedEx Feeder, so here's a Mountain Air Cargo (MTN) logo for it.

If this doesn't display, the only other reason I can think of is that the aircraft's transponder has been set to N9I7FE - with a letter i instead of the number One.

We often used to suffer from a similar thing when defunct UK airline Air Southwest, code WOW, often used to enter the code as W0W, with a zero in the middle.

Hope that helps.

N917FE is no longer in the database as is indicated by Rod it was sold in October and was deleted then.  It is now C-FEXH with Morningstar Air Express who are a FedEx Feeder and it is in the database as Morningstar Air Express/FedEx Feeder and will probably operate in FedEx colours.

As N917FE is no longer allocated if it is still using ACB12E it is miscoding its former hex and I have therefore added it to the database as a miscode for C-FEXH

As N917FE is not in the database there is no way of allocating a logo to it and expecting it to show but try allocating the logo to C-FEXH instead now that I have added in the miscode.  This miscode will be in tomorrows Navdata or will be available for population as and when you pick it up today.

Hi Guys, unfortuantely, I created a new logo as mentioned above and still no display.

He just showed back up, HEX = C00CEE, N917FE "Morningstar Air Express"

I did a database update and restarted too.

Oh well, nothing I can do..Picture below

You can also see "DB Air" in there as well....just took off....It did not populate yet but the flight ID is always just "N"

Thanks for all the info!

Well, it's got me stumped - as long as "N917FE.bmp" is in your logos folder I can see no reason why it shouldn't show up.

Here is a screenshot of the Logo folder...It is sitting right there..
Closing and opening radarbox makes no difference..

Hi Jason - that screenshot doesn't show the file extension - it must be ".bmp" or ".BMP". This is the only reason I can think of that the logo isn't displaying. Try downloading the file I posted recently and see if that works.

Soem imaging software will add extensions that you don't want - I've seen files like "N917FE.bmp.png" and that won't work.

Well, this confirms all is ok.

Jason,

I cant make it out on the shot, is there a dot between the N917FE and bmp.  I presume there is but if not there should be.

Is the FlightID actually N917FE or is there one or two spaces after E? Then the logo should probably be named N917FE .bmp or N917FE  .bmp.
