I am trying to ftp the displayed map  to the same computer that is running the AirNav software.

At least as a starting point.

so I have Cerberus (FTP software) running on the host computer.  I have created a user in the ftp software and using that user name in AirNav  the log file of the ftp server says everything is going fine...it sends the *TMP file to the directory BUT the as this a windows computer....the upload is not allowed to rename the *TMP file to the BIG*.gif file because that file already exsists.

So tell me what I should do? 

In the long haul I want to have the upload go to my linux server but thought I would try this test first.

any suggestions?
