AirNav Support

Intresting, I just did a manual search for G-OPJB and nothing came up on airliners.net before I did that post. Will have a further look.

Edit:

Ran it twice, and the 3rd time it came back with results. It looks like some queries are not coming through correctly on airliners.net which explains why some aircraft pictures are not coming back.

Sorry, folk, I think I might have nodded off. Are you saying that there's a new version of 1.5 to download?

If so, where?

There is no new version of 1.5. Not sure why you would think that.

Anyway if there was it would be called 1.6 :)

We have installed a fresh version of RadarBox 2008 today and it was downloading pitcures fine and showing them in RadarBox.

I deleted and installed my previous version 1.5 a few times and nothing changed.
Now I've downloaded and installed the newest version and now everything seems to work great.

Led me to think I must have missed something.

I'm still having the same problem, nothing has changed. Still says Photo Not available but when you mouse over it its says copyright of whoever and when you click it it loads the pic from airliners.

I hope im not the only one

Hi Guys!

Just to say the photo display is working fine now here too, no amiss so far!

Sorry for the delayed acknowledgement but haven't been able to "play" for a few days. My  sincere thanks too to all those involved in the fix :-)

Cheers

AirNav Development

We have had problems with our server connection to airliners.net but they were solved a few days ago (airliners.net changed their interface without advising us before that). Any problem let us know.

All,
Been away for a week and only catching up....  I have stopped using the auto download / auto populate feature for the past month or so due to the fact that the auto populate feature not only downloads the picture originating ( directly or via Airnav ) from Airliners.net but overwrites any edits made in the database for that particular aircraft. If you have slaved away for hours updating the database with corrections  these will be overwritten the next time that aircraft is received :(( and you are connected to the net and have auto populate selected.
I have reverted to the old fashioned and slow manual update of the Navdata database and manually dowloading pictures from Airliners.net  ( by right clicking the thumbnails ) and saving in the photo folder.
It might be slow but at least I know what is happening. If I ever figure out how to do it I will be able to create additions to the database for particular aircraft types which Steve can add to his site :)

Most odd - the thumbnail photo that is displayed in MyLog is the same photo that is displayed in MyFlights.  As far as I'm aware, you can't have one without the other!

Only having one photo was an issue in earlier versions of RB, but this is fixed in V1.5 so it doesn't matter if you have one photo or 2.

Have a look in your /Data/Photo directory and see how many pictures there are of G-MAJY.

Only these Two Photos. hope it helps you

OK, now click the "Explore Photo Folder" button to see what the file names are for G-MAJY
