Go into devices and RadarBox and right click and tell us the driver version. If the version is not the latest one its likely thats causing the issue.

Otherwise do the normal right click and run with admin rights if you are using Vista.

Just as a bit of good news for today. I am just about to switch off my radar box after 14 hours continuous use, of which 8 also included having network switched on. During the network time it peaked at 868 asircraft........

Congratulations AirNav, this is the first day since I have had my radarbox that I have been able to switch it off, I usually give up after a few crashes.  So I am pleased to give you credit for the new version which appears to be stable. Now I cant wait to get the version with picture download......

If you have extracted the files into the correct folder. Then its case of finding RadarBox in device manager and then clicking update driver and pointing to those files.

Some customers have reported having to do further steps in pointing to the correct inf using Vista. Unfortunately I don't have a Vista system on hand to talk you through it.

Also how does RadarBox 2007 react when the network flights are turned off. As at the moment we are logging the highest amount of flights so far on the network.

Mike:

Its being internally tested still and few issues to iron out there, as well making the software more efficient. But it will be done soon.

very slow with or without network.
what inf file am i looking for ??

This is my AirNav RadarBox 2007\Drivers directory with the new FTDIBUS.inf and FTDIBUS.sys files copied across.  Check the file sizes and the dates.

mine is exactly the same.
In device manager, if I open driver file details this is what I have;
c:\windows\system32\drivers\ftdibus.sys
c:\windows\system32\ftbusui.dll
c:\windows\system32\ftd2xx.dll

is this causing me problems. It does know my ftdibus.inf file is in my RB2007\driver file.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for this beta 1.2 which corrects finally the material problem of disconnection.
Thank you still.
Location : FRANCE - Between LFPG (PARIS) and LFRS (REIMS).

just to confirm the problem. Driver update, I choose browse my computer for driver software,then choose " let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer",select "have disk",and then point the computer at " c:\program files\airnav systems\airnav radarbox 2007\drivers" and if I select browse it finds "ftdibus.inf". I then hit next and get the following;
"windows encountered a problem,,,"
"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it."
"The system cannot find the file specified"

Stuck now so need a push in the right direction
Thanks

I am using vista not windows

I'm afraid that I'm not at expert with Vista.

I do know that it does put files in odd places and that you need administrator rights to do certain things - but I'm out of my depth now.

You must be getting close?

b744

Close to something...any more time sat here and I'll be in the spare room for the night !
Thanks anyway.
I'm sure tomorrow will fix all

Dear friends out there: Can everybody inform me, how to remove all the RB-files and folders from my HD?
Even I delete the hole RB software folder, I cannot reinstall like the very first time some days ago.
When I start the application, there is the stored password again, and the Box is no starting. It seems, like somthings is corrupted with hiden files. Also the drivers in the device manager appears as "the actual drivers are install".
Is there something in the Box herself, that must also be deleted?
Thank you for any help!
Walt

Those details are stored in the registry and should not affect anything. What happens when you run RadarBox 2007?

Have you installed beta 2, drivers, and firmware?
