Sounds like a driver issue or firmware issue. Confirm you updated the firmware and new drivers. Then can you tell us what version of RadarBox 2007 you are using?

Initially I used the CD-ROM that came with the Box.

Now I followed the instructions for this Beta 1.2, With that I updated the drivers.

I could do a complete reinstall if you want me to.

Hi Doro,

Open up RadarBox 2007, then go to Help -> About. What version number is the software?

Did you "point" to the new drivers as downloaded - they end up in an ANRBPatch12/Drivers directory.

Just to make sure that we're all starting from the same point - and not wanting to teach anybody to suck eggs :-)

- When the Beta12 patch is downloaded, it is a zip file.

- If files are unzipped using the directory parths that come with the zip, they are put in a /ARNBPatch12 and /ARNBPatch12/Drivers directory

- You then need to copy the flies manually to the appropriate locations in the AirNav RadarBox 2007 directory structure

- The 4 files in the /ANRB/ directory need copying to the /AirNav RadarBox 2007 directory

ANRB.exe
FirmwareUpdater.exe
ftd2xx.dll
rb.dll

- The 7 files in the /ARNBPatch12/Drivers directory need copying to the /AirNav RadarBox 2007/Drivers directory

ftbusui.dll
ftd2xx.dll
ftd2.h
ftd2xx.lib
ftdibus.inf
ftdibus.sys
ftlang.dll

- Once you've done this, it's the new inf file in the /AirNav RadarBox 2007/Drivers directory that you brouse to when installing the new RB drivers.

Doro, Spanman:

Did you both update from the version on the CD, or did you have 1.1?

Has anybody else managed to update from version 1 on the CD?

Should the USB cable be disconnected before installing new drivers?

okay I give up now.

After first trying to update the drivers as per first post and nothing, then using reinstall from HH post still nothing.

Uninstalled RB & Drivers restarted PC

Tried to reinstall everything, now cant get the drivers to install, connecting USB it does not ask for drivers, and nothing is displayed in device drivers.

So...

Manually removed everything again and this time checked to see if anything was left in registry... yes the drivers!!!! that it could not find...
So removed them and did a restart...
(Yes I do know what I'm doing in there before anyone asks)

Reinstalled RB, copied new drivers into the RB folder correctly, plugged in USB and found it, or so I thought...  Drivers installed but still no hardware connection or drivers displayed in device manager.

So uninstalled everything again.
Installed CD version and tried that - nothing still no drivers being picked up
Copied over new driver files - same again...!

Now totally lost

What I have noticed is in an uninstall RB is not removing everything but more important, if you uninstall the drivers via FTDININ.exe it also does not remove ever file or registry line.

No idea what to try next, do not really want to do a fresh windows install (yet!)
