What are the range of frequencies on HF to listen in to?

It's not worth bothering about the F-15 serials as they swap hex codes between aircraft daily or more frequently.

Never seen so many C17s in the North London  / bucks area ,already logged these in the last half hour or so, thought I had more but 06-6165 was logged 5 times

Hi Spaice could they be related to the Clinton visit? I'm interested as she is due Belfast this afternoon/Evening so we might see some unusual traffic, certainly for NI, across our skies as a result.

What sort of route were these taking please?

Hi Canonjohns40D, I'm unable to verify the route, just picked up an KC-135 62-3550 AE07B9 as I type this, for a Sunday afternoon it is busy with American military.  I am based in Chesham, Bucks,

Now I have 82-0653 AE19EE listed as a Thunderbolt.

99-0004 ADFEBA is a C-32A callsign SAM5794 and was most likely carrying Mrs Clinton.

Nothing unusual in so many C-17s (and a few C-5s), would be unlikely to be anything to do with Mrs Clinton unless she has taken a battalion of infantry and a few light tanks with her. :o)

03-3113 c/s RCH3113 took westbound route NAVPI>MAM>DIKAS

99-0064 c/s RCH9064 also took the same route

They do on my map! PlanePlotter with multilateration. You don't even have to have a Radarbox or SBS1 but it's nice to share.

Conditions might be particularly good today for you.

97-0044 is RCH9744, came up from Germany and went west routing NAVPI>MAM>GITUS

AE07DE C-17 93-0604 took the same route.

These ac support ops all over the world. The RCH indicates a Global Reach aircraft - Sunday is just like any other day for those guys.
