It's a shame you didn't get a Mode S code so we could positively ID what you saw on the screen.

Indeed! Our best hope is that the person who's box actually picked up this aircraft spots this thread and is able to check their logs to supply the ModeS code is question. Will probably turn out to be a 737 or something which would never get classed as 'interesting aircraft' for this thread anyway :)

Interesting - that squawk is allocated to "aircraft receiving a radar service from D & D centre".

Whatever-it-was looks to have proceeded southbound according to PlanePlotter, last picked up about 45 minutes ago by a Worcs user. descending through FL100 from FL220 (presumably a turboprop of some description).

Here is a couple of interesting aircraft that popped up this morning an hour apart of each other,Two U2s.

                                  AE094C/68-10336
                                  AE0962/80-1089
Dont know if they were en route to EGVA or just passing through?.

With that and the U-2's, there's a lot of high-altitude activity going on - wonder what's happening up there!

It has been a very interesting week military wise for me as so far i have picked up a USAF G5 with ADSB flying over on Sunday, plus I have also recorded on MyLog a Polish AF Mig 29 , a Qineteq Alpha Jet and a RAF C130 flying over Sussex at 1600ft (confirmed by my son who was at his girlfirends house when it flew over.) amongst the many other regulars

Yes Tommyg its been manic down this way too,
                                                                    I think this has been a truly fantastic week,I`ve had all sorts,even 2 Sea Kings go over my house followed 20 min later by 2 Harriers at very low level doing a mock strike on a school a mile away,i watched them for 10 min before they took off back down the NATO corridor,then 1 hr later i had the squawk 7003 and 30 sec later over went the Red Arrows(superb).I`ve had this RB since July(i and my mate Glyn bought one each)and "My Log" has already got nearly 11,000 entries, this is a fantastic hobby my friend.

I`ve just noticed 6 aircraft over UUDD in Russia,looks as though a station has popped up there,or i haven`t noticed it before?

This callsign belongs to a Tornado GR4

I logged it between 17:54 and 18:30 today over the West Midlands.
