Unfortunately not with a callsign or ADSB, however over Southern England I just recieved A7D9DD N605AL DC8-70 of ATI decending through 18000ft. Possibly on a Military charter into Mildenhall??

From the fire areas in Cailfornia -

I heard two pilots coming into KVNY Van Nuys on Unicom - one of them flying a Gulfstream V, say that it was interesting being instructed to actually descend on route for the first time for clearance of a UAV coming south 'around' FL400.'

Nothing showing up on RB except a recent NASA T-38 Talon intermittently out at about 113 miles north (if the range can be taken seriously) but I did hear a fire helo pilot here talking to fixed-wing air tanker operations (a DC-10) advising that the TFR was being raised to 8000 feet and that Ikhana (assuming the Ikhana/Predator B UAV from Dryden) would be too 'high' over the fire areas to be a traffic factor.

No mention of it on Drydens or NASA's site as far as flight plan though so I don't know. Be cool to catch a Predator in the logs!

Turns out Ikhana did not fly yesterday - checked with a friend at NASA. No idea what the UAV was then. Probably usual testing at Edwards or nearby.

The one and only Vulcan flew right over my house this morning (aprox 1145 Hrs BST north hampshire). Absolutely nothing on RB. Anyone know why?

The Vulcan should appear in the MyFlights list, but it will not appear on the map.

Of course, it is possible that the Mode S transponder was either switched off or not functioning.

It was MyFlights list I was referring to. Obviouly conserving power in this green age. Pity - I would have like to have had a record of it on RB.

Have you checked MyLog for today just in case you had any filters set in the MyFlights aircraft list?

Also, make sure that the aircraft didn't appear without the details - I can't remember the Mode S hex code, but it might be there without the registration and aircraft details.

Edit: I think that the Mode S code is 40109F

Hi Oceans 777, XH558 is the only one that is certified airworthy - following a multi-million rebuild, funded mainly by vountary and public subscription - the RAF couldn't justify the cost.   There are others on the ground, like our (British public owned - BA only paid something like £1 per aircraft) Concordes, unlike the French A/C which I understand could be put back into service very quickly and easily.    Ours are being left to rot - am I bitter, you bet the hell I am!   One of the Vulcans was actually being flown with a Concorde Oympus 593 engine strapped to its wing - the sound of that was pretty fantastic, but nothing could touch 002 (British prototype)

Wow that is amazing. A shame to let the Vulcans go, nothing else like it on earth. Surely some wealthy private investor (from South Africa of course) will step in and restore more...

Thanks tarbat, I put G-vlcn into the registration and there she was. How I missed it I simply don't know. Overwhelmed by the visual sight, no doubt.
