I have logged this one today over most of the afternoon and wonder if it was involved also? C818A ZK-MOH Aero Commander 690 NZ Aerial Mapping Limited.

I was mobile on Monday, with the RB and laptop on the passanger seat.
In the Buxton area at about 19:30 Hrs, when paused, I noticed a Mode-S of 0000C4 - Flight-ID  AEW      - Log shows on system from 19:27 till 19:37 hrs   Full ABS-B  with start position 52-55.3N by 1-04.5W  end position 53-39.4N by 1-58.6W
Anyone any ideas?

According to airframes this is a miscode for N474EA a B737-448 with c/n 24474. The correct modeS should have been A5D05B. Seems to be one helluva miscode !

Interesting.  I had it northbound from 19:03 to 19:23 UTC on Monday, level at FL280, tracking from roughly Boulogne to Kettering.

The VV prefix is also commonly used by the US Navy, so maybe another miscoded E-6 ?

On the other hand, N474EA was ferried from Nimes to OKC via KEF on Monday, so scrub the Mercury ... !

I picked it up just East of Corby and tracked it up to where the A74M runs into the M74 just south of Glasgow, still at FL280. NAT-B/C routing then?

Looked a bit further into this. According to my records c/n 24474 is/was registered to Aerosvit as UR-VVJ. Therefore it could be a lease return.

My guess is the Ordnance Survey are taking advantage of the clear skies we've got all this week to renew their aerial photography of the Highlands.
