Sounds like the same dodgy transmissions I was getting from this a/c this morning. Lost it on finals to EGLL 27L at 10:45 local sending null lat/lon coordinates.

Must be a different aircraft this time - the earlier one (G-BNLA/400400/BAW284) is still on the ground at Heathrow.

This one appeared today (again). This is an ATR-42 operated by the US Drug Enforcement Agency. Based on comparing the news and appearances of this aircraft, I'm pretty sure this is an extradition airplane.

In a policy that's controversial for a variety of complicated reasons, the Colombian government often prefers to extradite alleged drug dealers, especially those of a right wing political persuasion, rather than prosecute them at home.

This ATR-42 seems to be the plane that they they get a free ride to Miami on!

For those that are interested the first BA A318 G-EUNA Flt no. BAW9261 is being delivered to LGW on 28th Aug ETA 1855 local time. both A318's will be Gatwick based when not flying from LCY.

Must have picked up on the ground hence the NA still had BAW284 in the C/S field
